Non-Violent Media/Cinema

A Draft for some Key principles in Non-Violent Media

Non-violent media is extremely rare.
Even if the subject matter is non-violence, most cinema uses cuts which one could consider violent; similarly all shooting generally consist of aiming at and leaving a particular place behind, after having extracted elements from their natural context.
Representation is re-presentation, always a re-framing which imposes a particular meaning onto reality.

One outstanding recent documentary that allowed somehow the camera to breathe is Peace by Kazuhiro Soda.
